D.K. Smith is Managing Director at the Brooklyn Innovation Center. D.K. has heard and read over a thousand pitches and business plans from both the investor’s and founder’s perspective.
He began helping startups raise money after years of providing due diligence services to angel investors and venture capital firms. The founders he’s worked with have collectively raised tens of millions.
D.K. is a judge for the Brooklyn Public Library’s PowerUP! business plan competition. He’s also a startup mentor for the NYC BigApps civic tech competition.
